Around one hundred Confirel and PPM employees chose to sacrifice their days off on Saturday and Sunday in December to produce and package thousands of sachets of Appetine Senior nutritional biscuits for frontline armed forces and Cambodian refugees, as part of the “Khmers Helping Khmers” campaign launched by the Kinal Foundation. These biscuits, available in three flavors – prahok, banana, and mango – are designed as protein-, vitamin-, and mineral-rich snacks that are easily transportable to the front lines. A single sachet can replace a complete meal, explained Dr. Hay Ly Eang, founder of PPM and Confirel.
In two days, the volunteers managed to produce nearly 9,000 sachets of Appetine Senior and candied ginger, the latter also being valued for its health benefits. To support the effort, the Kinal Foundation distributed a visual message, “PPM–Confirel stands in solidarity with military heroes and refugees,” accompanied by a QR code, “Kinal Foundation Refugee by S.S.” This code was used to collect donations for the purchase of raw materials and the production of food for soldiers and displaced families, with the majority of contributions coming from the employees themselves.
On December 20, 2025, the joint PPM–Confirel team, on behalf of Dr. Hay Ly Eang, Chairman of the Kinal Foundation, presented 4,064 packets of Appetine Senior biscuits and candied ginger, as well as 1,275 bottles and boxes of PPM medications (including Alox, Septiderm, Polivit, and Kinal Family), to His Excellency Say Sam Al, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management. This company is responsible for delivering these products to soldiers and refugees affected by the Thai invasion along the border, illustrating the willingness of the Cambodian private sector to stand with the armed forces and civilians during this time of crisis.
